Update: I didn't make it all. I had a plateau that is just now moving. We won't discuss all the chocolate and Desserts that have been floating around :)

Congratulations to all that made your goal!! As for the rest of us, we deserve congratulations as well for taking the steps to a healthier life - it's just not reflected as well on the scale as we would like!! :(

Gweniper:

Congrats for making your goal.

Update - I didn't reach my short term goal of 230, but I'm at 231.6, close enough for me. Next challenge - losing 100 by 1/26/08 my 6 month bandiversary.

Congratulations to all of you that met and exceeded your goals. And to those of us who didn't, keep on plugging away. Think of it positively. I'm positive that I gained ten pounds during the Holiday season of 2006, this year I actually lost.

Here's to seeing less of all of you in 2008!

Sue thank you

I usually don't use my home scale as we weigh at the docs office for official but 2 days in a row it read 215 so I used it. now I will wait until thursday to update my ticker as I see the doc then. hopefully it is still 215.

Good luck with you goals. my next one is to be 192 by March 8. !00 pounds lighter than last march when they started me on metaformin for pcos and pre-diabetes

So My goal was 197 pounds (12 pound loss) and I made it for a day, then up a pound then down 2 pounds then up 3 pounds... Cramps and everything else tell me my body is doing just what it is supposed to. Trying not to let that number have more power than necessary. It is what it is, right! perfect.

You guys are great. I missed being on the board while I was out of town so much. It is incredible to me how much a difference in my sense of "support" it makes to just read this board.

Not being on the board feels just like "Isolating" with food used to. Yucky! I think I will take my laptop with me from now on. Doing this "alone" is, well, lonely!

Thanks for you guys in the world....

Lisa

I missed my goal by .7 lb but happy with the result anyway, especially considering the holidays and all that food. Congratulations to everyone who made it and to everyone who could have... we just need to be congratulated for getting the band and changing our lives.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
