June 2019 challenge

Recommended Posts

I’m not a huge fan of these “self love” parts. I’ll give it a whirl.

I’m resilient, funny, realistic, competitive, open minded, accepting, empathetic, sympathetic, progressive and forgiving.

I am however d.r.e.a.d.i.n.g. Going to the gym today. The strength aerobic class I have been taking is in an hour and I’m thinking of every excuse in the book to miss it. My plan is to suck it up and go, I’ll keep you posted. Feel free to shame me into going! 😁

I will do the squats afterwards.

Me neither! I'm going to pick and choose only a few of these :)

I’m going to do #12 on days when I don’t care for the challenge. (I’m looking at you #11.)

I've been traveling for work so just hoping in now.

I was sleeved on 2/7/19

My goals for this month are

-Lose 10 pounds (that seems to be what I average in a month)

-Do 3 sessions of Bridge 2 10K each week. I just started yesterday with my first session. I'm training to run in a DC Comics 10K run this fall.

Good luck everyone with your June goals!

good luck GIF

Was slacking on these, so I caught up on them all this morning .... yay me!

Need to get a walk in today so I can meet my goal #2, of walking at least a mile, a majority of days.

Hello! 😊 I had my surgery on November 7, 2018. I was sleeved!

HW: 255 😭

AW: 250 😢

CW: 175 😄

IW: 150 😁

Goal #1: More Protein (60-80)

Goal #2: More Water (64)

Right now I'm getting about 30 to 50 on protein and about 24 to 48 on water.

Herro herro. Surgery date 11/1/2018, RNY, SW: 286lbs, CW: 177lbs.

June-specific goals:

1) Reach 170? Eh? EHHHH? lol

2) Consistently go to the gym 4 times per week.

Yesterday was leg-day at the gym, but I think I can manage 20 squats today.

Ok, I compromised. I went to the gym but I did cardio instead of the class. I don’t know why I am so reluctant, the regular instructor is back today and I like her. I’ll go again, it is a good workout.

I did 30 minutes of cardio, 20 squats and I’m going for a 30 minute walk this afternoon to atone for my avoidance.

Pretend I went to the class @ms.sss !

That is a nice long walk, I get bored after a mile or 2. I need to find a better spot. Today off to the gym at 11 followed by the core class. Odds are we will do limb raises, however if we don’t I’ll add those in later.

#5. I’m a worrier so this could take all day. 😬

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
