Hi all,

New here I got surgery around 1 year and 3 months ago. Lost 59 pounds. Starting weight was 240. Current weight was 180 I gained 4 pounds and have been stalled for 3 months. It’s been a rough three months especially with this weight gain I’ve felt so unmotivated and was hoping joining this forum would help get me back on track. Hoping to break the stall and just feel motivated again.

Thanks !

I could remember prior to my WLS I would feel the same way after losing weight. My enthusiasm subsided, I stopped physical activity and eventually I regained the weight and then some. Staying motivated is a key component to maintaining the weight loss. It is difficult over the long term as I have experienced (19 months out). I take it one day at a time. I plan to do my best for that one day. The key is to plan, I don't wing it. I plan my meals down to weighing them. I purge my home of the stuff that I know will harm my weight loss success. Most of all I keep reminding myself that I have failed miserably in the past and today will be a successful day. Whatever you do, do not give up. You are at the point where you can be successful just change your tactics. Take it one day at a time and make each bite of food count towards that success. Good Luck.

I always feel like the best way to get back on track is to follow a structured plan. Whether it is Weight Watchers, South Beach, Keto, Whole 30.... having the limits established help me stick to the particular plan. Set up a small goal with a planned reward for yourself. Not food! A new book, a trip to the movies, a manicure or a new nail polish.

Failing to plan is planning to fail.

Good luck! You can do it!

I hear ya. I've been stalled for a month now and it's driving me crazy! Hang in there and I will too.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
