March challenge day 31.

SW 159 CW 152. I was trying to get to 150, but I'm okay with this loss.

  • What defines my personal success: Perseverance. Not giving up, no matter how many times I was knocked down. I'm a closet runner. Even at my highest weight, I still walked and jogged as much as I could. My goal is to complete a run\walk this summer.

well Well March is marching out and away for us all. My biggest success March 1st 267 pounds, March 26th- don't own a scale so I weigh at my PCP and Surgeon only- 234.6, a lot of it is the almost stall I was in while on TPN and with a PICC line in, but after watching wistfully while everyone else was losing quicker Frustr8's. Fantastic Fantasy has come true. And I am proud of ME, now that I believe again in me I am stepping up the few varieties of exercise I can don with two artificial knees, 2 shoulders next on the repair table, strangely the hips I would have,predicted have stayed in better shape, but I can do Water therapy, pace my walking, considering putting out a garden as Ohio warms up, but Tomkitten and PCP groan this prospect but I want me a bike, yeah old Mom, Foolish Mom, but I live ,6 mile or 1 km,whichever you want to look at it, from a very nice city park called Riverside, figure I could ride there, rest a piece and then bike home. After both of them saying Exercise more, they want to" rain on my parade" πŸ’¦But April may bring Power instead of showers, let's see if I can keep a loss going! May not be so spectacular, but every ounce gone is gone! Never inviting them to return, so let's see what the next 30 days bring!

A time i quit when i wish i had not was. Not completing a fine arts degree in school. I went on to a different path later but i still want that MFA 😭

I define personal success by feeling ok about the decision and outcome

I didn't do the daily participation this month, but I DID read it almost every day and kept up with everyones updates. Despite my non-posting, I did complete the "No Junk Food" challenge (its really my natural state anyway). And I did get into the 140's...I finished off March at 146.9 lbs, (a loss of 11.2 lbs for march :99_muscle:)

      I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

      Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water. Β Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
      Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

      Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay πŸ₯³πŸ˜­. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

        I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

        Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
