❤MARCH 2019 CHALLENGE❤

Recommended Posts

Hi there!

#10 One thing I am good at - Organizing things and multi-tasking!

#19 Something I've made that I'm proud of- my son! He has been thrown some curve balls and just pushes forward; for 17 years old he is a pretty awesome kid!

I continue to push myself in the gym....my legs are sore! :)

How do you handle dissatisfaction / disappointment / discouragement in life? I try to find a way to learn from the situation. Always trying to take something away in a positive light!

Thank you for your encouragement and advice regarding my stupid weight plateau. I think it might have something to do with my hormones... I have had terrible pms this last week and my body seems to hold on to so much Water. I hope that's why anyway. I will keep doing what I know I need to do and hopefully see some positive results soon. I just really really want to push through the 280s barrier I have. I stopped exactly here last time when I had the sleeve done and it's the lowest I ever got to, so this is a bit of a scary place to be.

  • How do you handle dissatisfaction/disappointment/discouragement in life?
  • I didn't handle it well. That's why I weighed 232 lbs. I "ate" my dissatisfaction, disappointment and discouragement. I've always internalized everything. I'm learning to be more vocal. I can't, won't eat my feelings away.

Waiting till my check up on Friday before going back to the gym for classes and weight-bearing exercises. I did go for my first post-surgery run on Saturday and it felt great. My goal is to get back to running for 30 minutes three times a week. I also have an appointment for a complimentary personal training session at my gym later this month.

11. My favorite part of my body has always been my legs. I'm apple shaped and while I'm very critical about my tummy, back, and flat bottom, I have very shapely legs.

DAY 12: One negative thought I'm ready to let go of.

  1. Failing and regaining my weight back. In the past this has always happened. Things are going well now, however there's that little devil whispering in my ear, making me nervous. I'm older and wiser now and I want to put that negativity behind me.

#12) that this (this being WLS) just isn’t going to happen for me. I think that’s the root of all my anxiety when I don’t see the scale moving down as quickly as I’d like. I love all the common sense advice the vets give but is freaking hard to be logical in the midst of a struggle.

That is so true. It is hard to be logical in the midst of a struggle. I'm trying to stay away from the scale and look at the NSV's that I've accomplished.

The NSV’s are game changers for sure!! I’ve gone down an inch in my neck, my arms and breast in a week. I’m like a melting candle!! It’s starting from the top and I’m having faith it’s moving on down 😂

Ok, have to catch up here.

11- my eyes I suppose....

12- let go of all the negative thoughts about this journey. Nothing will go wrong and I will lose weight, even if it's slow-er.

How do you handle dissatisfaction / disappointment / discouragement in life? I think I used to eat my way through it before. Now I just have learned to cope better. No more wine /snacks to deal. I just accept it and try to move one. Take time to let it sink in and cry if need be and be human, instead of trying to just keep a strong face.

March 12th:

Negative thoughts I'm ready to let go of is about failure. I want to live by my own standards (cliche i know) and feel like I'm winning accordingly. Also I want an optimal health. Thin is cute, but heathly is beautiful. Thats what I want forever... And a flat stomach 😂😂😂😂😂😂

12. Oooh this is hard...this is one of those life long negative thoughts....that I'm not good enough...it's attached to the I'm good enough and I rock...so I need to let the negative part fall away.

No yoga yesterday...maybe later.

9. One piece of advice I'd give to myself a year ago today: concentrate on Protein and produce, you can give up the sugary stuff! It's doable!

10. One thing I'm good at: research and writing - boring but true
11. My favourite part of my body: I'm rather partial to my face. Since I've lost some weight it's less round and more heart shaped and I'm liking it more and more.
12. A negative thought I'm ready to let go of: that if I don't lose weight one week that it's all over red rover.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
