Hello everyone, any tips for purée stage?

I just finished that stage Sunday. I didn't really puree much...some chicken salad once (canned chicken) which was okay. Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, ricotta bake and I had Soup once I think... I was only on puree for 5 days though so I guess it depends how long you have to do it.

What would you add to your chicken salad ? I had chicken Soup yesturday and I had to purée it.. I’m kind of tired of Soups though because I been on Clear Liquids for a week.. so I’m trying to find different foods

I did one small can of chicken, light mayo, pepper and a tiny bit of celery salt- too much and it's overly salty gross- omit if you don't have it or like it. then puree it - one small can made 1/2 cup so two meals but i never finished it either time I ate it.

That actually sounds really good lol.. thank you so much! I will have to try it, I wish I didn’t have to blend it. But hopefully this week goes by fast 😄

I never actually blended or pureed anything - I just ate soft foods like cottage cheese, oatmeal, scrambled eggs, sugar-free pudding, sugar-free popsicles, and the broth only out of chicken noodle Soup. I also drank Protein Shakes.

I had RNY.....I had a low fat string cheese twice and was fine and I use a tiny bit of shredded cheese - any kind you like- colby jack and mozz have both been okay for me. I made a ground turkey chili (you could try something like that once you are on soft foods.)-- I never would eat ground turkey before but this didn't taste bad at all. I like fish and most seafood so I am thankful for that. You never know, maybe you will like it now :)

I am only on day 3 of soft foods and have had cheese every day...not a lot but some. As long as you dont have any issues with the "bathroom" I think cheese is ok if you tolerate it.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
