Hello everyone, any tips for purée stage?

I just finished that stage Sunday. I didn't really puree much...some chicken salad once (canned chicken) which was okay. Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, ricotta bake and I had soup once I think... I was only on puree for 5 days though so I guess it depends how long you have to do it.

What would you add to your chicken salad ? I had chicken soup yesturday and I had to purée it.. I’m kind of tired of soups though because I been on clear liquids for a week.. so I’m trying to find different foods

I did one small can of chicken, light mayo, pepper and a tiny bit of celery salt- too much and it's overly salty gross- omit if you don't have it or like it. then puree it - one small can made 1/2 cup so two meals but i never finished it either time I ate it.

That actually sounds really good lol.. thank you so much! I will have to try it, I wish I didn’t have to blend it. But hopefully this week goes by fast ?

I never actually blended or pureed anything - I just ate soft foods like cottage cheese, oatmeal, scrambled eggs, sugar-free pudding, sugar-free popsicles, and the broth only out of chicken noodle soup. I also drank protein shakes.

Nice ! I can’t wait to be able to eat some eggs.. my surgeon has me for 1st week po clear liquids, 2nd week po all purée foods, and 3rd and 4th week soft foods.. has cheese been harsh on you?

I am on the same schedule almost. I am on soft foods though for forever LOl....4 more weeks. I am just going to eat a lot of fish. Cheese has been fine for me.

I had RNY.....I had a low fat string cheese twice and was fine and I use a tiny bit of shredded cheese - any kind you like- colby jack and mozz have both been okay for me. I made a ground turkey chili (you could try something like that once you are on soft foods.)-- I never would eat ground turkey before but this didn't taste bad at all. I like fish and most seafood so I am thankful for that. You never know, maybe you will like it now :)

I am only on day 3 of soft foods and have had cheese every day...not a lot but some. As long as you dont have any issues with the "bathroom" I think cheese is ok if you tolerate it.
