Nervous but ready.

I am so sorry to hear you had to deal with these issues. You have been so positive and worked so hard...just please know you will get past this and be better than ever!!! Holding in prayer!

Thanks to all of your for your encouraging words and support. They repaired the leak on Wednesday (at 10:00 in the evening!), took the drains out this morning, and the infection has cleared up--so I finally got to go home today! I can't tell you how wonderful it will be to take a real shower and sleep in my own bed.

Needless to say, it has been a very rough and discouraging week. Apparently, I am today basically where I would have been last Tuesday if there had been no complications and they had discharged me the day after surgery as planned. I'm feeling surprisingly good aside from being completely wiped out--I'm napping every couple of hours. I have minimal pain and have not needed pain meds, no nausea, and I have not dumped (yet). So, I just need to pick myself up and get on with it and put this week out of my head.

All of your posts really did help, even though I wasn't in the mood to respond during the week. Thanks again!

Hope everyone who had surgery today’ (8th) is doing good! So far so good! So far so good for me, just a little pain, like I’ve done 3,000 sit ups, haha and I’ve had lots of naps today and made several laps around the nurses station .

Wishing everyone a speedy recovery! 😊😊

I just got home yesterday from my March 7 surgery. Everything went well, no issues. Took me until today to finally fart, which had me worried. I’m incredibly thankful I didn’t run into any problems. I did not tell my family about my surgery, so having it go smoothly was a godsend for many reasons! I’ve pretty much just been sleeping, which I don’t think is unusual... I don’t have an appetite for food, but I am thankful for popsicles (I like being able to chew a bit!).

i hope everyone else has had a safe surgery so far! ❤️

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
