Thank you! I am keeping all of my surgery date twins in my prayers (along with everyone on this forum.) Oh, and to answer your question, no I'm not on liquids yet, my program only requires it for a few days before surgery.

It's interesting to see how different surgeons have different diets both pre and post-op, yet we all successful in the end.

Now that I'm on liquids, the surgery is becoming quite real. My emotions range from terrified to excited to just wanting it to be over.

Hi March Bypass Buddies! My surgery was almost a year ago - March 5, 2018. I had GB RNY. I was nervous - didn't know what to expect, but determined to get healthy. Now, almost one year post-op, I am 5 pounds away from my goal (though if I stayed right where I am, I am perfectly happy). I have my eating under control - I work out 3 times per week (mostly toning and light weights) - I'm in a size 2 or 4 depending on the designer (from a size 20) and my hair is slowly growing back (I am wearing a topper in the new picture).

Pictures are worth 1000 words - so here you go!

Look forward to watching your journeys over the next year!

Roxine, congratulations! Great job! Such a good story to see just two weeks before my surgery. Good inspiration for me and others. Thank you for sharing.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
