Using the range if else statement in this case seems to over complicate.

As for the store front, when I click to login it takes me to the store, when I the. Login and click account it takes me to the store. When I click the x to close the store banner it takes me to the store. When I have finally done all that I can get rid of the store link.

if your a developer, look at the member count, post count and consider the money it takes to operate this site. People literally think this is free, as in free beer. You and I both know better.

Starbucks has a Social area, but you wouldn’t call their service free. The hope is goal is always sales.

Like the ad for vitamin patches when I logged in.

Now if it were ad free, and just a link to the store. Then yes it’s free. If we get email ads, it’s not free.

Its a revenue generator.

As it should be.

To put it another way, BariaticPal pays $99 a year to keep an app on Apple’s App Store. That’s cheap, but it’s not a philanthropy project. Regardless of how sincere they are about their mission.

And yeah, uninstalled the app. You can’t ignore people on it and ignored people on the forum aren’t ignored on the app.

Different concepts. A site is free if you don’t pay money to access it. If money doesn’t go from your pocket to the people running the site: free. There’s a bunch of marketing and analytics and big data stuff happening in the background that means that members are revenue-generating for the site, but as long as the user doesn’t actively pay $ for access, that’s “free” for the user.

I haven’t had any problem just using the mobile/responsive version of the site and going to my laptop for anything more complicated. But basic interactions are fine in the responsive browser.

I have no insider knowledge, but I’d certainly expect that revenue streams involving bariatric surgery analytics had been explored.

Yes you can block me, however I am simply pointing out that you are a troll. It is obvious, you have done nothing but troll since you opened your account. Please find something better to do with your time.

I couldn’t get the app to accept my starting weight of 297. No idea why, but I noticed a “skip for now” option and did that, but I will want to enter once I start my pre-op diet. Hope they can fix the glitch! Ps. Wow, congrats on your loss!!

@ErinshayWV if you use a desktop you can enter all of your information that you want there, I had the same problem with entering info when I joined. I kept getting error messages on my phone as well...It’s an easy fix if you just use the desktop to create your profile 🙂

I wish you all the best on your journey!

I'm just trying to understand why the OP posted a copy of the email sent to them and didn't just quote Walter's post...

Seems you have solved your problem....this site is certainly not for everyone. Have a wonderful day!

I know nothing about the app. I use the website only via a laptop.

I think we've been conditioned over time to be more sensitive to what we interpret (and often times rightly so) as fat-shaming. This site, like society in general, has plenty of room for improvement. That said, the community of people here, many of who have experienced their fair share of fat-shaming, won't be adding to your negative app experience. We're the REAL DEAL. Flesh and bones people who've been there, and want no more of it. Give the site a chance, @DeltaBravo, because the site is essentially PEOPLE and not fat-shaming data entry.

It is lousy to feel that you are going through this alone.

Who ignored you? The founder commented, apologized, and said that they will correct the mistake. I think it's time to get down off of your high-horse now.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
