Gastric Sleeve and Back Pain

I had Lap band to Gastric sleeve surgery and have bad back spasms. I was given muscle relaxers and 2 cortisone shots. Sometimes the back spasms can be very sudden and painful. Has this happened to anyone on here? Could this be due to the Gastric Sleeve or the spinal cord bulges?
