March 2019 sleepers

Recommended Posts

So, I just had mine on March 12th & I’m wondering how my fellow March 12th comrades are doing???

Sleeved on 3/6 and doing much better than before. Gas pain finally gone and getting my Protein from shakes has gotten better. Starting puree stage Friday.

I start puree Wednesday and am nervous

Don’t be nervous, just remember this isn’t like we used to eat before. Before I’d be hungry and just start eating and eating... nope not anymore..., it’s take a small bite and chew (even though it is purée). Wait a few minutes before the next small bite. And when you feel that sensation in your chest stop and see if you really need more or not. I was shocked that I could only get 2-3 oz in. Anymore than that and it made me miserable. I’d rather under shoot it than overshoot it!! Good luck! You got this!

Sleeved today. Pretty rough recovery for me. Had terrible gas pain for hours, got up and walked a bit. Didn't help much for me. As time has gone past i feel a little better but the pain is still pretty intense in my lungs. I'm almost constantly sleeping which I am fine with! Can't wait to drink something!

I was exactly the same!! It gets so much easier. Hang in there! 🙏🏼

My old standby at work, I get a cup of hot Water out of the Keurig, plop a Wyler’s bouillon cube in there, add my GENEPRO Protein and I have a yummy chicken Soup for lunch. 😆

I’m doing great now that I’m home, everything seems to be going good. The only thing, and not sure what the issue is, but my upper left body aches so bad I can’t sleep good.

Me too @Nickycole86 I’m feeling quite daunted if I’m honest. I’ve done the pre op due three weeks already and now have to stay on it for another 2 weeks. All time off was booked and taxis booked ,, all now cancelled

Sleeve buddies! I haven't been hungry at all but that could be fear of drinking too much at one time or something. Haha.

But I am so work you there, feel like I got hit by a truck!! And I can't wait for this IV to come out.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
