TCM2019 got a reaction from ajmitchener in Any March 2019 Sleevers?I’m glad you’re feeling well! March Madness definitely helps. I’m back to work tomorrow so I have no choice but to be distracted from the liquid diet. At least the time will pass faster!

TCM2019 reacted to MstressB69 in March 2019 sleepersThis is the flavored protein powder from Injury. The chicken soup is great! The Santa Fe chilli is good too. I added the strawberry sorbet to unsweetened lime drink made with apple cider vinegar, great!!

TCM2019 reacted to MstressB69 in March 2019 sleepersI got a call from my hospital 3 days after my surgery and I was asked if I had consumed 69ozs of protein!! I had not but started working on doing so since the call. Plus 48 to 64 ozs of clear liquids. Didn't think I could but I have a system.
I drink 3 20oz bottles of water plus a couple of sugar free jello cups. I drink 1 or 2 protein shakes which is 30ozs of protein and switch between 1 or 2 protein powders which are 21ozs of protein each. If I add powder to Bone broth that's another 2 ozs of protein/ 4ozs of broth.
So between 6am and midnight I get it in!!

TCM2019 reacted to JacquelineC in Expected Weight LossThis chart is about averages. I am one year out exactly and have lost 100% of my weight! Was 200, now 122. I love this tool, but just remember, it is a tool! You have to stay compliant!

TCM2019 reacted to GradyCat in Expected Weight LossWe talk a lot about what should be our average weight loss and how fast we should lose post-op. I saw these two graphics today and thought they were very helpful to allow us to visualize a realistic idea of how fast and what percent of weight we should lose at 3, 6, 12, and 18 months.

TCM2019 reacted to Jacqueline L in No weight lossI was in a very similar situation and my dietician sent me this checklist:
o How often are you weighing yourself? Try not to weight yourself more than 1-2x week. Stress from seeing the number and being frustrated can actually stall our weight loss as well.
o Are you consuming liquid calories? Juice, smoothies (not protein shakes), alcohol, etc. can add empty calories and provide little satiation. Instead, opt for water!
o How are your food choices? Poor food choice may result in increased calorie intake. Try minimizing high-fat protein sources such as cheese and peanut butter.
o Are you consuming enough protein? Aim for 70+ grams per day.
o Are you drinking enough water? Aim for 64 oz. per day.
o Are you getting enough sleep? Aim for 6-8 hours of sleep per night to reduce stress hormones causing sugar cravings and increased fat storage.
o Are you walking? Until cleared by the medical team daily walking and staying with light activity is recommended and encouraged.
I had been following most of these, but I was weighing myself everyday, only getting in about 60g of protein, and maybe 48oz of water. I changed all of those things and in one week I dropped 5lbs. If there is anything on this list you aren't doing or having trouble with, then I'd start there. Good luck!

TCM2019 got a reaction from llewerentz in Daily Nausea, Fatigue and Dizzyness post surgery with complications ?Agreed that your body has been through so much more than a regular sleeve procedure. Try to have patience but it’s hard. I was given fast disssolving zofran Which goes under your tongue for one my nausea was preventing me from getting the fluids down and it did help me a lot. Maybe your doctor can order that for you
