  1. I’m glad you’re feeling well! March Madness definitely helps. I’m back to work tomorrow so I have no choice but to be distracted from the liquid diet. At least the time will pass faster!
  2. So sorry to hear this. Such a huge bummer when all your ducks are in a row and you’re ready. Hang in there
  3. Good for you & good luck with the purées!
  4. Can you tell me the name of your protein powder?
  5. I am six days postop and my doctor to cleared me for 2 ounces three times a day of Premier protein shakes. It’s like a damn shot glass three times a day. Crazy that I’m so full after such a small amount. the rest is all clear liquids which is been pretty much water. I don’t tolerate artificial sweeteners that well and the fat free low salt chicken broth was nasty. If you’re walking and getting around well, it’s fine that you don’t have compression stockings at home. I’m planning to go back to work on Thursday and nervous about keeping up the pace without enough energy. Trying to walk a lot more the next couple of days to get me ready. Good luck everyone
  6. Do you mean you are diluting the protein shakes with milk? If so, I definitely think you can do water or there are protein waters/juice made by Premier protein But they have less protein. Be sure you’re taking sips of water every few minutes. You definitely need tons of water as much as you need the protein at this point
  7. My plan only has me on 2oz of Shake 3/day! I am finding getting enough water is what is making me feel better. Just constantly take little sips.
  8. Get the fluids in, just water, A few sips ever 15 mins or so. It will get better
  9. Good luck! You can do it. Day by day
  10. You will do fine! Definitely ask for the scopolamine patch behind your ear and the zofran. Together my nausea (surgery 3/12) was very manageable. Good luck!!
  11. And for sleeping, you can try a body pillow? It can help you prop on your side with less discomfort
  12. I know what you mean about the larger incision that they took the stomach out through. It’s stitched a little deeper and looks different than the other incisions. I would keep trying to stand up straight stretch your back out five times and hour While taking short steps. You should be able to stand up straight and if you truly can’t without severe pain, I would give your doctor a call tomorrow
  13. Agreed that your body has been through so much more than a regular sleeve procedure. Try to have patience but it’s hard. I was given fast disssolving zofran Which goes under your tongue for one my nausea was preventing me from getting the fluids down and it did help me a lot. Maybe your doctor can order that for you
  14. I am having similar symptoms and I think it’s normal. The incision themselves we’re glued closed And they feel OK but the surrounding skin is all bruised and a bit tender. I was told this is normal. It hurts the most when I bend over or try to tie shoes etc. I’m doing OK with the water but I think only because I’m only allowed to have 6 ounces total of protein a day. The key is just sipping little sips of it constantly. I also got some true lemon and mio Which are water enhancers I just add a little flavor to regular water. They seem to help too
  15. I’m on premier protein too. Not a big fan either. I don’t think it’s any worse than any of the others it’s just I’m not a fan of the chalkiness and I really do miss chewing LOL
  16. Good for you! I’m tired & sore but ok. My doctor only allows calorie free clear liquids and 2 ounces of protein shake three times a day For the first two weeks! It’s getting a little old but I’m down 10 pounds which I think is mostly water weight at this point.
  17. So, I just had mine on March 12th & I’m wondering how my fellow March 12th comrades are doing???
