So I have finally hit my goal!! Total of 28kg lost over 2 years with the combination of esg and saxenda. Definitely needed the saxenda as I feel the appetite suppression is key for me. I am now beginning maintenance and will stay on saxenda for months at least, at a reducing dose. Wish me luck. Mel

That is absolutely fantastic! Well done.

Has saxenda come down in price yet?

I just added my recipe for the Cauliflower Rice; it went to the ESG Forum, I wanted it in the VSG Forum. Oh well. Here's the picture:

I think, in the batch above, I used a small amount of Rothschild's Pineapple-Habenero Sauce [Costco's]. I see a bit of it (~ yellowish sauce), near the '6 o'clock' position of the photo.

Unfortunately not. I have reduced the dose now but will need to continue using it for some time. It’s been worth the money for me but it most definitely is expensive. I eat a lot less, particularly takeaway and convenience foods so count that saving toward the cost. Also dropped my gym membership and just walk now with some at home resistance work. Once I drop another dose I think these savings just about evens the cost of sax out for me.

How can a bowel movement make me lose almost 4 pounds? How much poo am I full of?

I haven't pooped in a weed and I'd love a 4 pound poo right now lol

Lol, yeah, I've been known to drop 3-ish lbs after a good (and long awaited) poop.

.....or even after a moderate to severe dumping episode. yikes.

I met with my surgeon on Friday.. I've completed all my tests and all my nutrition meetings as well as meeting the weight loss requirements for my insurance. We are officially submitting to insurance for approval and I was given a surgery date of January 16th 2020 (13 days before my birthday!) Fingers crossed all goes through

Ok, now im getting old...my body gets me up at my normal 5am dog walk even when it's the weekend, vacation, and most importantly when I'm sick. So now that I have more energy, my body wants to make sure I suffer even longer during the day when I have a cold! Damn being healthy again! (:D)
