I've read about stalls but I am only in my 3rd week and had 1 week of no weight loss and today gained a lbs. I am following all my dr's orders getting in protein and water. Any ideas? I had the ESG.

If you've read about stalls, then you'd know that the 3rd week is pretty much a given.

If you are following your instructions, and getting as much Water as you can... then don't worry about it.

I had my V Sleeve done on 9/17/18. I was freaking out because I had no weight loss in 5 days. When you are getting used to see the scale go down then it stops I was worried also. But I called my friend and thought it was just me or I'm doing something wrong. I'm exercising more and started added food and thought I'm going back to just shakes. LOL She said keep your eye on the bigger picture like a year out. She said it happen to her also. Thinks it your body adjusting itself to the weight loss. She had a month with no loss then one day down 5 lbs. So I guess I'm Normal. LOL

Unfortunately the ESG subforum isn't all that active here: https://www.bariatricpal.com/forum/1294-endoscopic-sleeve-gastroplasty-forum/, I am a member of three ESG facebood groups one is USA based, it is reasonably active, let me know if you would like a link to it.

What is your post op diet? Are you still on free liquids, pureed foods or soft foods? What foods and beverages are you consuming and in what quantities?

My nut told me that if you are following the plan and you hit a stall to just keep going. She said they are expected and the weight loss will be like going down steps not sliding down a slide. She also said if you are in a stall and see a small gain not to panic.. she said if you are getting all your Protein your body is building muscle not fat. :) Then the numbers will start going down again.

Well still nothing changing. I tried add pureed food and got sick on Sunday. Was not able to keep it down. Waited 2 hrs. Then had a Protein Shake. Had some hot tea called Smooth Move, yep no movement there either in 4 days. Stomach wants nothing to do with food. Driving me crazy. I just read that someone started using the Vitamin Patch and / or the liquid Vitamin ones and got out of the stall and back on track. Sorry I did not respond on sooner. LIFE

Question for anyone, how did you get your mind right before surgery? Like as far as eating better foods and just doing better in general? I'm having a really hard time with this. Any help is appreciated 🙏❤️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
