November 2018 Sleevers!?!?

Recommended Posts

I've been living off Beans and greek yogurt for the last 4 days and I need ideas for purees.
What is this ricotta bake everyone is raving about?

I believe it's ricotta, marinara, cheese, an egg, and Italian spices. Mix it all and bake it. Sounds amazing. I can't wait until I am on purees [emoji23] I miss food.
You can also make chicken/ tuna salad, hard boiled eggs chicken or tuna and mayo
Cottage cheese and fruit of choice
Meatballs marinara and cheese
Chicken, Frank's wing sauce, blue cheese dressing.

These are just a few ideas I've seen [emoji4]

How long does this bloated feeling last.

:( i am a week out today and i literally feel like i am 6 months pregnant!

anyone else feeling bloated and LARGE

I found that the whey powders made me bloat and feel very uncomfortable. I switched to premade shakes, Isopure and genpro. Since then the bloating has mostly disappeared.

I felt the 1st 3 or 4 days were a little sore and I just had to get up and move I had a lot of shoulder pain from gas in the beginning but walking really helped with that. it sounds like you are doing a great job though already!! I am doing good, but finding out I am not as good at cooking as I thought I was lol, I suck at making purees from scratch yesterday I tried making a turkey shepards pie with cauliflower mash omg it was awful lol.

I’m 3 days post op and I feel surprisingly good. Premier Protein shakes are still a little harder to get down than my Powerade zero and Water but it’s improving. This may be TMI but when did everyone finally had a BM. Should I go ahead and take Milk of Mag or wait???

My dietician suggested a few and then I watched a few YouTube videos about what people were eating haha. I am sure there are more options as well [emoji4]

As far as your TMI question, it was a full WEEK for me. I started drinking Miralax at day 5 and had to do that for a couple of days. Just a warning, this issue can continue longer than immediately post-op. I've never had a problem with this at all but I'm 3.5 weeks post-op and I've had to take Miralax seeeeeveral times.

I am also going to take some miralax. Seems to not be moving along very well.

has it caused any issues for you taking it?

Pinterest and kindle have some good resources as well. I got a free stage 2 and 3 booklet on Kindle.

I never had this problem either. Was 5 days post op with colace. I take colace daily and need a smooth mouth tea every other day to go every 3 to 5 days and I am 4 weeks out.

No, it hasn't caused any issues. It's my favorite thing to take for these issues because it's flavorless and not harsh at all. No painful cramping or bloating or anything.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
