20 days post op - what I can eat (pictures)

Recommended Posts

Hey y’all so today I want to show you the amount I can eat at 20 days post op.
Remember every hospital has their own guidelines what you may or may not eat.

So I took this as an example. After I have my dinner st 6 pm. I always have something at 8 pm. And that’s the final eating moment for me. Which works for me.

First picture is what I thought I could eat.
And the second picture is the left over. I’m full. So I stopped eating.

Raspberries, blackberries, golden berries and tiny nuggets of goat cheese.

Hi there. I am not so sure about the berries being the greatest for you 20 days post op. Just follow what your surgeon has told you. Yes you are only able to eat a very small amount. I remember my first meal was fish and green Beans and I was shocked that I was only able to eat three bites and was full. I called a friend who had the procedure prior to myself and she said it was entirely possible that I was indeed full. so I stopped.

You will get to know your body as time progress, it will get easier for you. Just make sure that your are getting more Protein then your are fruit at this time, and take your Multi Vitamins for sure.

Have a great Wednesday too! Sorry you're hungry all the time, I'm pretty much the same..and I'm sick of eating the same food all the time.

Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!

Having gall bladder surgery in a few days and I so hope the recovery is easier than the one from the modified DS! I could use a bit of luck/pep talk for a change. I'm starting to be able to walk around without experiencing dizziness, but it would be great if the random pain in my chest and abdomen would go away!!
