Hi everyone, what's a good # of CARBS to set for a goal? My baritastic app has it set at 44carbs daily.

That actually sounds about right depending on where you are in the process. I try not to eat over 30-35g each day. I had a Protein Bar as a treat so I’m going to finish today at 43g’s. That’s a big day for me.

I was told no more than 30g but preferably less

I ignored carb and fat counts. If you have a suitable amount of Protein and your calories are low enough to promote the desired weight loss, you will by default be on a low carb and low fat diet. Let the numbers fall where they may (in retrospect, looking at my past data, my carbohydrates and fats were, on average, split about even calorically. That was not a specific goal, but just the way things shook out looking after the nutritional side of things.

No carbs here. I am a carb addict. I am afraid if it go there, I’ll fall off the deep end. Focusing on lean Protein an low carb veggies makes my Life easier

My program allows up to 70 a day once you reach “real” food stage, or end stage. I usually stay around 30-40 unless I’m having a mocha 😂

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
