Obsessed with checking myself out!

Recommended Posts

Anyone else obsessed with how they look? I can't help looking at my reflection when ever possible. I do a lot of walking while at work and I purposely check my reflection out every time I walk in front of a store front with big windows. I don't want to sound vane or boastful but I am so happy with the way I look and feel. I think this is the happiest I have ever been in my life.

I am proud of where I am at and how I got here.

You look fantastic! I feel the same and Also always check myself out! It’s mostly because I don’t recognize myself!

You do look great! Congratulations! I am waiting to get my surgery scheduled. I am 5'5 and have about the same amount of weight to lose relative to my height- so you have inspired me and given me hope that in a year I might feel as great as you! THanks!

I'd check myself out, but I lost my library card.:P

No more moobs (man-boobs). That's sensational. Where is all of the loose, jiggly skin around your abdomen? Men who look pregnant in their BEFORE photos, don't seem to carry their "pregnant" skin for life. Not fair!

You look great, by the way. Handsome and fit. You have good reason to be proud. Is your buff body the only furniture in that room?;)

Yeah you are right, even after we deliver we seem to carry a baby pouch. Meanwhile Mr Dathvick happens by,with his beautifully buff body and says" I used to be heavy too" and if you hadn't seen the first picture you would say Where and When? I think they play with a better hormonal deck! Wah💦

after I got under 200 lbs I started running. I am running 3.5 miles twice a week at an average pace of 11:15 minutes per mile. I do believe staying hydrated and the exercise is helping with the loose skin but I still have it and wish it would go away.

Thanks everyone for the comments. It has been an amazing journey that I would do again in a heart beat. It was well worth everything I have given up and the life style changes I have made.

Congratulations!! Yes. I too had those moments and it was so much fun. Enjoy! It's good for you to help your mind catch up to what you look like now too. Some people automatically go to the big section in stores because their mind hasn't caught up to their body. It took me a while and the plus size department still creeps in to my mind as the first place to go. Then I smile and remember that I'm not there anymore and I have more choices now. Keep up the great work!

Even when I do get to my goal weight, I doubt if I'll want to be photographed. Camera dread is a hard thing to shake. Mirrors are still something I avoid. So far, I've lost around 30 lbs and I don't see any change.

Ha. I know that this site underlines certain words like shake. In this case, it's a verb.

I think it's totally normal! I don't really enjoy checking myself out as much as I did but I used to all the time! You look fantastic!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
