I had mine on August 13th. Recovery is going well after 11 days except for: 1) Starting to feel pretty tired and 2) My eyesight got drastically worse right after surgery. I can’t read without reading glasses.

Down 16 lbs.

Hope everyone’s doing well.

I had my sleeve done on August 21. I’m 5 days post op. Has anyone experienced a terrible pain when liquid is swallowed? I get a sharp pain between my breasts almost like a huge gas bubble forms from the small amount of liquid I swallowed.

3 weeks out and everything I try give me gas. And I don’t know how to burp on command. Is it normal to feel gas when eating something?

I had my surgery Friday Aug 24th. I would say the pain was much worse then when I had the lap band.. He removed my band and 9 years of scarring and a hiatal hernia repair. The worst issue is when breathing in. It hurts. I have been using my incentive spirometer every hour and walking around. That is my only complaint.

Nice, congrats! My surgery was 8/17 and I'm officially down 14 1/2 lbs from Surgery Day (I didn't weigh myself right after surgery though) :) I didn't really start to see a loss until the last maybe 2-3 days or so, but I'm glad it's going down now :)

I had mine yesterday and NO ONE mentioned how painful it would be after. I mean, it’s just starting to subside, but man, that gas pain is not a joke.

I'm 6 days out (8/20) and I experience that pain when I drink cool liquids. When it happens, I start walking right away and try to form a burp, seems to help.
So far warm liquids is the only thing truly tolerable.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
