Hey loves. I wanted to do a quick update. My doctor placed me on a 2 week liver shrinking diet and tomorrow is Day 1. I feel so blessed to have finally made it this far. 8 months of struggling with my weight going up and down but I did it. My boyfriend is actually done a 180 and is also doing the liquid diet with me. I wanted to thank you each for the comments on my last post and the advice you gave. It really meant alot and gave me the push I needed. We are stocked up on broth, Protein Shakes, Jello, and etc. Any advice for those that are going through the liquid diet?

Find recipes you enjoy eating. If the liquid diet is forcing yourself to chug down stuff you dont like, youre setting yourself up for failure.

You dont like one shake, try another. Then try mixing it with pudding, making icecream, fluff, mugcakes, artificial sweeteners, syrups, with coffee.

Theres literally thousands of ways to get creative. If youre not enjoying the things youre eating, its not gonna be pretty

The first 3 days of liquids were tough for me, just get through those sugar withdrawals and you’ll be fine! By day 4 I felt normal again. I lost 10lbs during those 2 weeks so that was a great incentive to keep chugging along! Good luck :-)

I must confess, the more I lurk and read, the more I wonder,if I can do this. Aw shoot, in for a dime, in for a dollar, if all these people can do it, why couldn't I?🙊🙉🙈

My doctor only required 3 days liquid diet. I did 4 days because I get tired of eating crap.
Today was my third day and am not having any problems. I stopped diet soda last year. I am not a candy eater. I just eat too much food.
Can't wait till Tuesday fools around.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
