So I’m thinking about getting a belly brace. But thinking of waiting till after i get my tube out. Also I’m terrified to shower. I’m thinking a ton about food. Guess I have an addiction. But started thinking about soft foods which I know are 3 weeks out but I want to be prepared—I use instantcart for groceries especially now—but probably gonna pay for shipt membership too since they have different stores omg my head is everywhere.

Had my GB on the 6th so 21/2 weeks out and already lost 19lbs. I am a little surprised that my blood sugar numbers have not come down much farther but maybe because I am still healing. I still get a bit nauseous when I drink Water or eat but it is getting a little better. I have found a wonderful Protein Shake that I really like I just wish I could get a flavor other than chocolate lol. Never in my wildest dreams thought I would be sick of chocolate! It is called Orgain Clean Protein and it is Gluten free, 140 calories, 20g protein 2g fat, 10 carbs, 3 Fiber and 4 sugars. It is also Soy free, non-GMO and Grass fed. You can get a big box of 11 oz. Individuals at costco for like $18. It works ot to admit a $1 a shake if you all are interested. Congratulations to all who have had their surgeries and best of luck to those getting ready. Looking forward to hearing all your experiences.

I bought a stomach binder and it worked great. Helped me not feel so all over the place. Stopped using it after about a week and a half though because I started feeling better by then. Maybe get a hobby to focus on when you’re hyper focused on food. Best wishes!

Congrats on your surgery! And your levels will come down. Your body definitely has to heal and your hormones will be a little wonky because of the changes to your body. I’m 8 weeks out now but at 6 weeks I found out I no longer have high cholesterol. It all happens before you know it. And I keep hearing about Orgain protein. I use EAS vanilla flavor, 30g protein per serving and I believe the sugar is like 2g. To change the flavor I use sugar free Creamer or sugar free Syrup (chocolate or strawberry). Best wishes on your journey and great job on your weight loss so far!

Hi, is your fear of the new stage of food or of going to the gym? How long ago did you have your surgery? Are you afraid of hurting yourself? Just curious. Cheering for you and wishing you well!

This is the buffalo mashed cauliflower recipe I posted earlier. We made it from scratch but you can also use frozen mashed cauliflower. It was SO delicious and easy to do!!

Okay, I’m SUPER craving buffalo something. How gross would adding Franks buffalo to cottage cheese be? I have some ranch seasoning, would taste okay to add a little of that plus a bunch of Frank’s buffalo hot sauce to cottage cheese? Can’t decide!

I found buffalo chicken pouch, just like the tuna pouches . I haven’t tried it yet but i have it

2 days out here with sleeve. No pain, just a little discomfort so I’m using Tylenol.

I had the sleeve on July 10th. Eating puréed foods now. Slowly losing. Swallowing fine. Looking forward to losing a lot more in the months ahead. Been relatively good process since surgery but I’m having trouble stomaching the chewable vitamins. Working on something else.

I am having trouble with Vitamins also. I've tried the chewable tablets and couldn't tolerate the taste. Then I moved on to the soft chews and those worked for about a week then started making me sick to my stomach. I'm hoping I figure something out.

I tried chewable and even though I liked them pre-op they tasted like vomit post op. So then I got the drinkable Vitamins because I liked them pre-op but again, post op they tasted like vomit. I finally ended up on the ProCare site and settled on the one a day capsule. I’m guessing they work okay, my blood work so far says I’m fine but I will see what my latest blood work reveals at my September 4th appointment which is my 3rd post op appointment. Good luck with the vitamins

I am 2 days out of Sleeve to RNY revision. Is the following normal?

- my intestines are super loud. When I drink I feel it in my lower abdomen l?!

- Warning: this May be too graphic, but I’ve had diarrhea through out the day. Went 5 times :/ not much but still watery. Is this normal ?

3. I was doing do so well with gas, walking a bunch etc with minimal pain, but this evening of day 2, all of a sudden I have a ton of chest gas. So much that I can’t sleep reclining and I can’t use my cpap as it’s blowing air which I feel is adding to the pressure...

I have the same issue with my Multi Vitamins. What I started doing was taking them after dinner or before bed. Taken them with a empty or near empty stomach just made me sick, but haven eaten throughout the day and then taking them helped

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
