I had RNY last Thursday (6/21) I had a rough but good experience for the most part! They kept me an extra day, total of 3 days I’m home now on Stage 2 of my diet

So I had my first stage 2 foods today, which went well. And I had my first venture outside the house. I just feel so wiped out now, like Ive run a marathon. After a nap and (not enough liquids today) I am officially too tired to go anymore. Off to bed I go. Anyone else having energy slumps?

Hi other Aussie, Good to have someone close by on here. They give you plenty of meds in hospital. Just have panadol on hand for when you get home as you will be given that in tablet form in hospital. Protein waters were hard to get but Costprice has some. Expensive but it comes in powder form, so easy to take with you. I am fussy so got the lemonade one, not bad. I assume you got a guideline book, this has recipes in it. Prepare your Soup stock now and freeze into one cup worth. I have also made the pumpkin soup using the stock and froze that prior too. I will defrost for dinner and add the evaporative milk. Again I measured out one cup worth. I have 15 cups of stock and 7 cups of soup ready to go. Had to do the stock in two large saucepans. My pain was between a 2-5 at first and then subsided. I got sinus due to the air conditioner and that probably assisted me to feel sick. Just take what they offer.
How the hell didn't I know about costprice?! So far I'm really into Venom protein. The flavours are good and their return policy is excellent. I have gotten the lemonade protein on your advice.

I'll get busy with soup cooking tonight. My guideline book was big on smoothies but I'm a bit wary of the fructose so stock seems a good choice.

Now if I can just shelve these ridiculous nerves I'll be on my way.

I had to order from Queensland. I am not big on milk, so smoothies aren't for me. I am also lactose intolerant. I had trouble with the juices and milk in hospital, stuck with the broth for lunch and dinner. Are you on the Optifast diet, because you can continue on the shakes. I had to buy many chinese containers for freezing the stock and soup. Have you got your Borocca? It takes two hours to make the stock. Yes, nerves hit me too. All will be good.

QLD here too. No Optifast for me, my BMI is fairly low to start with so no concerns about liver getting in the way. I've had some bucket-list drinks and meals this last weekend that could change that

Same issue with lactose intolerance, hoping I can still tolerate WPI post op. I've been ramping up my Protein intake in anticipation on nutritionists advice and no issues with the residual lactose so far.

I've imported some Syntrax Nectar at ludicrous cost. Someone needs to start a freight forwarding company for BariatricPal Store because the shipping is prohibitively expensive outside of the US - often significantly more than the product.

Really appreciate your time and advice.

I'm in Victoria, had to order from Qld. I had the Optifast to shrink liver and make it more pliable to move out of the way to work on stomach. Which hospital are you going to? More than happy to share my experiences, if it helps someone else.

I just got home from Walmart and I need a nap. My rny was June 20th. The last time I was this tired is when my kids were newborns.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
