PJTP - Happy Wednesday! The sun is rising and the air is dry.

Apparently I had intended to take this day off of work; I forgot that until I signed in this morning. How sad is that - I forgot I was taking a day off.

Sadly, I don't.

just venture into the political discussions - which i can only do once a wk or so; and it won't be hard to miss.

same reason i don't watch the view.

I am also a newbie with only a few posts. Just remember that we were all newbies at one point, so while our posts may ramble it is probably because we are hungry, tired, and desperate for info that our too-busy surgeons office couldn't answer in a timely manner, so we find ourselves on here seeking the experience of those who have gone before us. I sure all of you that have had your bands for awhile once had the same silly questions we (newbies) have.

i wouldn't take anything here personal, there's a lot of silliness & advice, in the postings. i think this thread has those from every stage of the lapband process represented (sleeved 2!), in fact a few pages back from this one - you'll see advice given to SNT who gets her band tomorrow.

since it is the rant & rave forum - you'll get some complaints; but you'll also find many posting here also on answering a LOT of newbie questions from the home page.....congrats on the band!!!

I did a glance through once, I couldn't go back. I also can't watch the view.

Ohhhh, as I avoid the political threads at all costs, I was missing the 'calm, rational discourses and fulsome discussions of viewpoints respecting all individuals and their opinions'!

Thanks Luluc!

I agree; we're definitely not talking about a newbie right now! I have to stay away from the political threads b/c of the one. She can post 3x to my 1! I Tivo "The View" but fast forward through Elizabeth Hasselbeck's crap. I want to reach through the TV and slap her! My mom says she's so sanctimonious!

I definitely appreciate the veterans. I'm very nervous about tomorrow more so about the pain and being on liquids for 3 weeks than about the actual surgery!!! I began liquids yesterday and was starving all doggone day. Today it's better, thankfully.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
