Relaxation (by bath or mental exercises) is a great tool.

Why thank you, Plain!

An EMG (sometimes known as a "nerve conduction study") is where they put little needles in the skin, and measure the electrical potential between the two points. First ya get poked by needles, then they apply electricity? Sign me up!!!

Yeah, I bet I know what two points you want them attached to!!!

My husband found me sleep walking once after taking ambien. I thought the events of the previous night were a dream. Then when he started telling me different parts of my "dream", I realized he was telling me the truth. I did not take ambien again after that.

Posting just to add my two cents about ambien.

So, let me get this straight, Slim, you're for it?

During my sleep study there was a guy there who just started Ambien...he ended up having an allergic reation to it before 10pm (lay down hour) and they had him on oxygen and heart monitors the whole nine yards. His whole body was twitching and stuff it was weird. Eventually he got too bad and he was sent to another floor of the hospital.

So you saw this? Or they told you about him? Sounds like maybe they weren't super concerned about privacy at that particular sleep lab!! It sounds suspiciously like a grand mal seizure....

i need safe tips for preggers please ...

I'm sorry I used the term "pregger". Apparently only pregnant women can refer to themselves that way. But it is acceptable for the rest of us to say "pregga".

My husband found me sleep walking once after taking ambien. I thought the events of the previous night were a dream. Then when he started telling me different parts of my "dream", I realized he was telling me the truth. I did not take ambien again after that.

True, some people won't be able to take Ambien. I know a ton of people have horror stories about Ambien....most of the ones I personally know didn't follow the directions (you're not supposed to take it until you are in bed and ready to go to sleep). Usually it was they took the Ambien and then watched TV until "they felt sleepy".

I'm not saying that's what you did, slim...and I don't get any kind of commission per pill (heehee), so I'm not trying to be a staunch defender of Ambien. Just putting in my 1.4 cents (it was 2 cents before the Dow dropped today).

We need puppy pics!

Posting to whine about my wrist too. Was diagnosed with carpal tunnel today after having a great deal of numbness and pain. Now I gave this annoying brace, can't use my left hand and have to have pt.

Whine over, can I have some cheese now?

LJM- 2x unisom or 4x benadryl (but NOT benadryl d). They are the same thing. I was on rx sleeping meds till I found out, now I am tired a lot and rarely need the help, but on the nights I can't sleep I either take 1-2x unisom depending on how wound up I am or 2-4x benadryl. Both are safe, Unisom is even recommended for morning sickness

I was the person who told the nurses he was acting weird...after that they put him in a room where we couldn't see. The nurses were off doing other stuff and I went up to one and told them that the guy was sitting in his chair twitching n such.

Well, I'm not trying to brag, but......

Private TV's in the bedrooms in my lab, baybee!!

Patients never ever see each other, unless they come in as a duo (husband / wife, brother / sister, are some of the "duo's" that I've done).

Clearly that hospital you were in needs to hire me as a consultant (for a huge consulting fee, of course).

I took it and went to bed, but in my "dream" I got up to go to the bathroom. I figure from there, I must have thought everything was normal. It all seemed like an out of body experience. I was watching it happen instead of participating. It was really weird.:tt1:

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
