I have read all the pages. Not all at once though. I started when this thread started and check it every day. It's similar to the thread killer thread that finally died. That thread was hilarious!

Boo, that IS a very cute dress... matches your skin tone really well!

Georgia and stl: Funny stories! Cmon howcome my clothes wont fall off??

Gloucester: You can also try putting a few pennies in a soda can. Every time they do something you don't like, shake it. They hate the sound, they will just run away.

Posting to say.....Big Macs? Really? For the Protein? I just love how, when somebody gives a dose of common sense to one of these idiots, they use the old fall back line "If I could control what I ate, I wouldn't need the band, would I".

Wow. If I could control the voices in my head, I wouldn't need the shock therapy, would I?

What? Whats wrong with Big Macs? I eat them all the time for protein... of coure I just take a couple bites of the meat and give the rest away to my dog.

Besides, I haven't eaten any since four days after my surgery... so that makes it ok.

Thanks for listening! :tongue_smilie:

Big Macs? Sorry but those aren't enough for me. I prefer the triple whoppers. They are packed with Protein, fat, carbs, dairy (cheese), and veggies (lettuce & tomato). If I order an apple pie, I've got all my food groups. It's genius!!! Bwaaaaaaaahhhhhhhaaaa :tongue_smilie:

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
