Ummm....I can't eat anything or drink anything right now, even Water is hard to get down. I just had a fill 2 days ago. Has this happened to anyone else, and am I too tight? I've lost 10 lbs in 2 days, so I really don't want to go get an unfill.

What do you guys think?

It happened to me too. You're not alone. I didn't go to the Dr though, I just drank 5 Mt. Dew's and it cured me....all better!

Just eat whatever you want as long as you cream it first ok?

as long as you are loosing (heh) weight, you are fine. liquids are entirely overrated.

SURE! DO whatever you want as long as it is liquid. Try 3 beers a day. You should feel GREAT!

Is pizza considered a liquid if you chew it very well? I ate pizza the day after my surgery because I was so hungry. I chewed it very well though. I could only eat half the pizza instead of the whole thing, so I know I didn't hurt my band.

Would this be ok for the mushie stage? Couple pieces of pumpkin pie, 6 dollips of whip cream, 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream, Nothing has to be fat free because it's going in the blender, right?

LMFAO! I just read a post that we're all here just to scare people, and blah blah blah, if we spent as much energy on fixing our problems as we do bitching about it, we'd all be happier people. WHATEVER.

I've learned more about the REALITY of life with the band here than I've EVER learned from my surgeon. Don't get me wrong, I love my surgeon, but as far as just getting raw information, this is preferable to calling my surgeon's office every other minute of every other day. Even if we have to sift through a few pages of bullshit to find something useful.

What about vegemite?

OK, what the hell is vegemite, exactly??? I've heard a little bit about it, I've even googled it, but I'm still confused about what the stuff really is....

Yeah that one was ironic to me. Here's an obese person who's not banded, telling us we need to do something to fix our problems. I like that ironic bit of sagery. Like you can "do something" about having a port that's hard to access. Perhaps the OP is a proponent of self-surgery?

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
