You know - speaking of vices - I really don't drink that often (seriously - I mean it) but - I don't think I even tasted the 2nd mojito I drank tonight b/c it wa sgone before I knew it - but the 3rd one is FANTABULOUS!

Well, I'd love to say I resisted the ice cream calling me.....but I make it a policy to never lie to friends.....

Calling it a night....not even 10 and I am wiped out.

Got hit in the leg with a log yesterday---it did not break the skin, and it is HUGE and purple! It was more swollen yesterday--felt like it would feel better if the skin HAD popped, the pressure in it was unreal, and it looked like I had a balloon under the skin. I have scrawny legs anyway, and the log hit right on my shin bone---damn near reduced me to tears...settled for bad, really bad words!

Today it is just extremely colorful! Looks like long pants for me for work, no capris!

G'night all.

PJTP-I have spent the entire day in bed.

I sure hope you're feeling better tomorrow.

I don't know about the ibuprofen, I've never asked and he's never said. Something to remember! I may pick some up at the store tomorrow. We have to go anyway and I'm sure it wouldn't hurt to try it. I'll ask the nurse too when I call her.

Slim - just a thought - have you had your BP checked recently? Now it could have been just one of those days - but maybe w/ wt loss your BP is regulating itself better and you dont need meds anymore - happens all the time and so when you take it - youre actually dropping your pressure too low = feeling lack of energy.

Check w/ your Dr.

But again it could have just ben an off day - anyways I hope you feel better tomorrow!

What she said!

We heat almost exclusively with wood through the winter, while it is cheaper, it is such a different heat, we both just like it better!

We do the same. Our furnace is propane and I only have to fill the tank once a year b/c we use so much wood and so little fuel.

I think Doritos are almost as bad as the Cheetos. I can't resist either but will always go for the Cheetos first! I've been wanting ice cream today too. Luckily we don't have any. Tho right now it probably wouldn't hurt since I don't have much of anything in my system.

You know - speaking of vices - I really don't drink that often (seriously - I mean it) but - I don't think I even tasted the 2nd mojito I drank tonight b/c it was gone before I knew it - but the 3rd one is FANTABULOUS!

Mmmm, maybe I could get one of those down! THAT would make me feel better! LOL!

~Tap, have a safe trip! We'll miss you!! Oh and we eat applesauce all the time. With anything and everything and all by itself too! I'd love to try Lu's mom's recipe w/the onions. I've never heard of it but it sounds good!

PJTP: Tried one of my Protein Shakes earlier and gave up after an hour and only a 1/4 of it gone. UGH!

I'll call in the AM but probably won't be able to get in til Tuesday or Wednesday. They usually do surgeries on Mondays. Still calling tho!

I want ice cream. Bad. Maybe tomorrow! We have to go to the grocery store so I'm thinking a small carton of something yummy should come home with us.

Well, I'm off to read a book. Been trying to get thru it for awhile now and I'm almost finished with it. Takes me forever to get thru a book these days. Just don't have the time or lack of interruptions to read like I used too!

'Night all! Have a beautiful Monday!

Kat - I don't have ice cream in the house...for the most part it stays out. If we want it, we have to go get it and most times we're too lazy!

And, ditto on the OUCH!!! I'd be in tears...I can take pain, but that bruising kind right on the bone makes me cry.

~Glouc, give your DH a hug for me! He's wonderful!

:smile2: Okay, the hug was from you...the rest - that was me.

He is a great hunny. I like him okay...guess I'll keep him.

He's sick today - I think it's allergies, he's hoping it's not the flu. But, he gets sick every Oct. so I think it's just hitting early this year.

I'm at work, about to start my day. How is everyone on this fine Monday?

Well Glou - I am dandy!

I am going to a work conference next week and will work the 5 nights in a row right before I leave.

I need to go find a cocktail dress/semi-formal - for the awards gala night of the convention (never really enjoy shopping - but should be interesting since I've never been down at this weight shopping for a nice dress = bat wings will be the problem!)

Hope everyone else is enjoying their monday!

OH - and I'm contemplating getting an iphone - my pocket book is not going to be happy today.....

I've said it before, KC - you are a superhero. I don't know where you find your energy! You're amazing!!!

Dresses are fun! I love getting all dressed up every now and then...but then I end up barefoot by the time the night's over.

Anyone ever heard of that country song - Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off? ...well, I relate to that song well.

Don't know much about iAnything. DD's got an iPod and we struggle w/the software on it. I missed some boat somewhere between the technology age I grew up in and this new one where everything starts with "i".

Morning all. I had to practically swim to work today. The storms are so bad that some schools had to close because it would be too dangerous for them to get to school.

Kat-I hope you feel better soon.

Glouc-I hope your DH feels better soon.

Heartfire-don't forget to call your doctor today.

I will check in again in a little bit. I hope that everyone has a wonderful, safe Monday.

I agree with Glou-you are super woman! You should be able to get an iPhone for a lot less than when they started. They have come way down on the price. Good luck!

Yikes, Slim! The schools are closed because of flooding? Wow!

I remember when we first moved to Houston, it was June 2006, and in July that year we had flooding so bad that a car in front of me started to drift sideways. I thought, "where the HECK did we move to?????"

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
