I hate it when people post just to post.....

PJTP: Very disappointed right now. I had submitted for a job in a different location (same employer) and just got a call, and they're wondering what I'm applying for. One of the two supervisor positions, I say. Um, what supervisor positions, she replies.

Seems the intranet site that had job postings must have had a hiccup or glitch or simple operator error (on the website's side) because these jobs don't exist. I thought I was losin' my ever lovin' mind until she said, And the person you sent it to hasn't been here in some time. Then I KNEW I saw it, because it's a strange name.

Friggin glitches...

Hey guys.....

Heard a rumor you missed me...

I am not doing well so I am not in the mood to talk. Hating my choices in life and life in general. But miss my friends.....

Hugs to all...

((hugs)) back!

beth - sorry about the job

online pckg tracking - as i hate going to actual stores & ebay satisfies my vegas cravings, i like knowing who / what / where has signed off on my goodies:)

ok on a posting note, and i'm not a serious person amongst my closest set of girlfriends. but i just came home from my BF mothers funeral. same age as my mom, same chronic illness and the "first" of parent death amongst us all. none of us have sisters, which is why we're extremely close...and all of us are VERY attached to our mom. i call my mom 3/4times a day in FL. anyway, just sad - and just booked a trip to FL in 2wks.....susan we should get together, i'll be in ocala.

cheers to you moms!!!

I'm sorry to hear that, Lulu. That's something that scares me a lot -- that "phone call."

My mom wrote me yesterday about a neighbor of theirs from when they were in Houston, he was about 83 years old and was married to a woman who has grown kids who don't do jack squat for her and she's bedridden and on oxygen, incontenent, and needs help 24/7. He had nothing of his own, so to speak of, and was doing EVERYthing for her while her loser kids did nothing beyond "borrow" tens of thousands of dollars and nothing much more.

Anyway, I guess it had all gotten to be too much and he went outside, sat in his favorite chair on the patio, and shot himself. I'm beyond sad over that, as he was SUCH a sweet guy.

BooBoo - remember, it's all in the attitude. You resolved to have a great attitude so I'm holding you to it. Hugs all the same.

Beth - that sucks about the job, now come join my mob so you can kick some ass.

Lulu - I'm not very close to my mom but the thought of losing her makes me want to crawl into a deep cave and curl up in a fetal position. Enjoy your visit with your Mom.

That is very sad:sad:

I worry about my dad. I am going to AZ for his 90th birthday. He is very lonely and depressed. All his friends are dead. He won't move here because he hates it here. I go to see him as often as I can, but I would never leave my kids or grandbabies.

I wish he would move here, but I guess he loves the sun more than he wants to see us.

Why must work come and interrupt my sleep?

I've been following this thread for a really long time, but have always resisted the urge to post (not sure why - I think I'm just shy). But this quote is the absolute BEST!! Can I steal/borrow it?

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
