Having lived in warm climates for the better part of the past 10 years, I do miss winter wonderland. At least I can still visit, right?

PJTP-how can some of you be crying about how cold it is? It was 0 here yesterday. We only have about 3" of snow, but the cold is the worst.

Yeah, but you live in Minne-soh-da. Aren't your summers only about 50 or so when/if the sun's out?

Yes, my husband is bald so I can agree with you. I on the other hand do not want to be bald. I have been eating and drinking lots of Protein. Taking Vitamins and Biotin, hopefully this will stop soon.

Bald and flat chested! Funny (yet not, I know). I have nightmares I'll go through all of this and look like a melted wax figure when it's all over.

Heck no. We get nice and warm and humid. Last summer we even hit 79.

I've shoveled a little this year. But, I do live in Minnesota so that is not a foreign concept tap.

Obviously a typo...I meant, neither you (nor anyone) has to shovel COLD. Shovel snow - yes indeed as someone in Minnesota you would know about shovelling snow.

Gotcha. Plus, we are supposed to get up to 5" tonight. May be a really bad morning tomorrow morning.

Unless you have a protein or Vitamin deficiency, the only thing that stops this is time. But it's pretty rare that people go bald or even have enough Hair loss that outsiders notice it. It's from the anesthesia and surgery most of the time.

I though it was pronounced Mini-so-duh.

I've been going through the following sequence - melt, firm up, melt- firm up. I think if you give yourself time, you'll be presently surprised. After all, you are younger than I am so your skin should be in better shape.

You sound just like DH when he describes the "temperate" climate in Iceland!

I hope you are right! I did have another surgery on November 4th. I have not been consistent in drinking my Protein Shakes either.

I hope you are right on this one as well! I hope the skin firms up so I do not have to have a Tummy Tuck.< /p>

As a fellow right leaning voter, you are going straight to hell for even insinuating Al Gore is right about anything.:cool2::wink_smile:

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
