Yes. But just a little. And afterwards, blessed relieve from that feeling that a cat is sitting on your chest.

I can't wait to get rid of that feeling...always feels like something is stuck in my throat. Hate it!

It's Saturday morning - yeah! I've got to hit the gym before the Santa Claus parade - I still cannot accept the parade before Dec 1, but alas I'm not ruler of the city. So, gotta get to the gym and home before they put up the street roadblocks and corral me!

Okay, what blows my mind is that I was diagnosed with a hiatal hernia about 6 years ago when I was having issues (turned out to be my gall bladder which needed an emergency removal), but when I did the barium swallow for this procedure, it showed no hernia! And that just can't be right because I have been going through issues again of issues when I swallow, like it gets stuck and then suddenly releases after a period of time.

What scares me is the doctor not really finding anything, and then I get banded and continue to have problems with swallowing.

Beth, once they're in you they'll be able to see if you have a hiatal hernia. You should mention it to your doctor when he comes to see you before the surgery. Most doctors pop in and say hello to you before you go under. If you don't see your doctor, you can tell your nurse and ask her/him to mention it to your doctor.

Shovelling break - mitts are on the fireplace drying, coffee is perking, breathing is easing up. Catch up on the posts (very few on this sunday morning) then back outside. Think it's time to put away the patio furniture and toss the plants?

I'm going to San Francisco today to see the 49ers. Go Niners! I hope they win at least this one. It would be nice.

i get TOO much company on the wkends. after DH and i bought our ranch; we get a lot of friends and family that want to escape the city - ride the horse; shoot dove (sorry non hunters); eat & drink a lot of wine....

thankfully the cowboy game is tonight - otherwise many would have stayed all day....

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
