So new update.
I got a call from Boston medical center clinical evaluation is April 3rd. I have completed all my requirements thus far. And made my surgical goal weight. I am slightly higher right now. But I'm hovering on the mark they wanted. So fingers crossed looking at end of April or mid May . Just have to wait for my insurance to approve.

On the road again- just can't wait to get on the road again, sorry Willy Nelson but I do like your lyrics a lot. So the, path from Haverhill to Boston has suddenly got smoother! Great great great. That's only a little over a week, excitingly good news. Are you getting ready emotionally and physically for it all? Gosh I am happy for you but so so envious. I know my day will come also but
I want it NOW! [emoji20]

Patience grasshopper. My journey didn't come without bumps, landmines and sinkholes.
I tore my planter facia from my foot, I had Achilles tendon issues. I was depressed. The 1program I was in at holy family in Methuen was aweful. The " nutritionist" would tell me to try something. I'd do it. Then say oh don't do that.

Ooh I am going to stay the course, friends like you help me to stay on track. I'm sitting here taking a hit off my nebulizer. Promised. PCP I. would use it more faithfully. My son said I looked like a jet pilot when I started with my Cpap, you can imagine his remarks when,i sit here with flexible plastic tubing and a mouthpiece clenched between my teeth. He inherited my dry wit, alas. 1st time he saw it he said "Hmmm are we going scuba diving or snorkeling ?" Now he just walks by and shakes his head.. I guess it does help some, hope he doesn't submit a picture of me like this or the C Pap to B.P.for comic relief. I just hang on for the sake of hanging on some days, but we all have those at times. Someday I will look all fit and thin and submit an after pix. Doubt if I'll ever submit a before because I find it depresses me. I don't have enough self love or confidence to show the world at large my exterior. I'm not ugly enough to stop a grandfather clock but I have made a few alarm clocks stop ticking. But the new improved frust8 with a little work and,my future tool, I can maybe look GOOD. Bottom line I will feel better about myself.[emoji13]

Hi! I am also a Bostonian, though I am going through Mt. Auburn. I hope they can get you in soon! That’s terrible that it got canceled! At least most of the snow is gone and we BETTER not get anymore. I’m officially over winter!

I wish you the absolute best tomorrow! I got a bit nervous for you when they said there was snow in the forecast... luckily it all melted immediately :)

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
