Things I can do again since surgery are tying my shoes by just bending over(hadn't done that in almost 15 years), sitting comfortably in a movie theater seat.

I'm looking forward to working up to running a 5K, go on long backpacking trips with my sons Scout Troop (did a 2.5mi each way once at 350, I was the slowest in the rear and in pain after that weekend) and fitting into a roller coaster seat again. Eventually I would like to do a sprint triathlon and sky dive.

Always wanted to know what Victoria was so secretive about, no more Added Dimension or roaming in Roamans, I'll never be a petite but when the fat shell breaks, I come out of my body cocoon I could be a Junior after all! Hmmmn, wanna hang around and watch? Might not be for a few months but it COULD happen!

Being able to walk around when traveling is high on my list. 3 years ago I almost passed out in front of Buckingham Palace when I walked there from the bus stop. Last year when I went, I only went places accessible by the scooters I could rent on the high street. I'm 55 and have been told I don't look my age, but no hot guy is going to approach someone on a scooter, and I would really like to date while in the UK. [emoji16]

Hi all, I'm getting sleeved on 3/19 and one of the things I've been doing is compiling a list of things I'm looking forward to doing that I can't do now, to keep me motivated once I start losing. I'd love to hear the things that you're excited to do, or for those of you who are already sleeved, that you can do now! I've been over 300 since the age of 19 (I'm 40 now) so there is a lot I have never been able to do. Some examples from my list:

-wearing boots

-camping

-going to Disneyland (we are planning this for 2019)

-ice skating

-flying and driving comfortably

-shopping at thrift stores (you can never find good supersize clothes at thrift shops)

Share some of yours! Thanks in advance! :)

I haven't read through the post so I may be repeating what others have said, but I have so many things on my list that I love about the now vs then!

Walking (or even running) up stairs without getting out of breath or feeling excess stress on my joints with each step

Fitting in any chair with arms, not worrying about if I'm going to "overload" it

Shopping anywhere, and having more plentiful choices in clothing

Crossing my legs when sitting feels natural instead of difficult now

Shoes fit better, I didn't realize how much weight I'd lose in my feet alone! I can wear the cute strappy shoes without them cutting into my skin.

And soon, I'm going to get my drivers license photo redone!

Still purging all of the larger clothing. This morning, a shirt that I ADORED wearing ended up on top. Hard to let it go, but it was also hard to let go of those habits that also no longer serve my highest good. Onward and upward!

Have a great Wednesday too! Sorry you're hungry all the time, I'm pretty much the same..and I'm sick of eating the same food all the time.

Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!
