Hi Hope2B,

You sound just like me!! I LOVE cooking, I have a big family and I feel good just getting the pans out to feed the tribe.I have huge problems saying 'no' to myself, I too crave chocolate and crisps .

I chose the band because of this not in spite of it, I couldnt face the thought of never being able to eat Christmas dinner incase I dumped or got roaring runs, of not just choosing to avoid certain foods but NEVER being able to eat them again, dont kid yourself, if you have the bypass you will be on a very very restricted diet for the rest of your life. I know me, and I know that what I CANT have is normally the thing that I want most........us girls huh, go figure! Then I thought about how miserable that would make me, and really that was it for me.

I am newly banded so I cant give you the reassurance that it will get you to goal, but since 10/01/07 ( highest weight ever) I have lost 25lb and I very rarely feel hungry.

Good luck with your choice and let us know how you get on.

Nina x

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
