Alcoholic Drinks

Recommended Posts

I waited 5 months to have a drink and when i did I had vodka! I drank shots and followed it with crystal light I may have gone over board a tad.... but it was my birthday I had fun HOWEVER... the next three days I felt hung over and I felt guilty for drinking because all I could think about was carbs carbs sugar and hurting my liver and my spouse said I was trying to shove food in my mouth... I never want to be fat again so I decided alcohol is not for me I use to drink a lot in college and I am just worried about waking up that LiL monster and ruining all that I have worked hard for!

In the past, I've done minute maid diet lemonade (5 or 15 calls) and vodka, or Tropicana 50 (w/calcium + Vitamin D) coconut rum, plus DaVinci sugar free pineapple Syrup.< br>
Crystal light options are good too.

I seem to do best with a dark beer. I can't drink more than half, but I like the flavor and it seems less fizzy than a light beer like Bud light 55.

I used to love mixed drinks. But I’m not allowed to have carbonated drinks or drinks with tons of sugar. I tend to gear towards the sugar free juices like mango, pineapple, orange and mix them with vodka. Flavored vodkas make it much better tasting too. A healthy version of a pińa colada is sugar free pineapple juice, coconut milk and some Malibu blended with ice is so Yummm! Try it out!

I can’t do carbonation, it’s just painful, even at four and a half years out. So beer and a lot of mixed drinks are out.

I do wine. I do vodka Collins or Tom Collins. The bars almost always have low cal Collins mix. Vodka/light cranberry if mixing at home. Grapefruit juice and vodka is a greyhound and I like those, if you don’t have acid problems.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
