Where is your port placement?

Recommended Posts

mine is next to my belly button, on the left hand side. Was painful at first, but now (4 months later) I dont even know it's there unless I feel around for it.

Mine is above my left breast about two inches from my armpit. My surgeon is one of the only ones to place it there and he give free fills for life if you allow it to be put there. My bra strap covers it perfectly.

Mine is in the same place as Jeannie's and my bra covers it perfectly as well. I didn't think I would like it being there but I have to say, I haven't had any pain or problems with it and I absolutely forget it is there most of the time.

Left side, directly in line with my breast, about an inch or two below my ribs.

Mine is above the belly button to the left. I'll have a more accurate location once I get my first fill in mid Dec. Wherever it is it dos not seem to bother me or show.

I Just had mine done on the 13th of November. My port is not far below my left breastand it does seem like a good place because it is below the bra and above any waistbands. Out in the middle of nowhere...

I'm just wondering, jbrad..how did they get it there? :cry

I have no idea howw the surgeon puts it there, i know i had a lot of pain on my left sode when i woke up and it was probably from the port tubing being routed through there but so far it seem ot be an ideal location, not in hte way at all.

Mine is directly in line with my belly button on the left and it is sore still, but healing very nicely.

I think the placement is perfect for me.

My surgeon asked me how low my pants normally go because he didnt want the port to be visable. He put it as low as it can go on my stomach basically (just above the pubic area).

Mine is on the left side, directly in line with my breast, and about an inch or two below my ribs. My port scare is only

1 1/2 inch long. as for the other 4 holes, 1 is in my belly button, and the other 3 are very very small, smaller then a pencil in diameter. I must say he did an awsome job on them. He also fixed a large Hiatel Hernia I had and that in it'self is such a blessing.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
