I have never used Monat products because of the price, but I am planning to have the sleeve done soon and I am terrified of my hair falling out. I have very fine hair so it will be pretty obvious if it happens (I know it will, I just hope it’s not so much that I have bald patches).

I have heard good things about Monat hair products but as a teacher, but budget says “nope”. I might consider these vitamins for a while though, if I can find some reviews. Has anyone taken them?

I did some research and decided that I would not use Monat. I’m going to use Biotin. Heard of good results on this site with Biotin. Just do your research.

My cousin actually went through same issue after her surgery. I also have a few family members on strong medication which is also resulting to hair loss. I've heard awful things about Monat... hair splitting and breaking or even falling out, which reps blame on "detoxing" LOL - hair is dead, how can it detox?!

Not sure about Biotin, either. I just stopped taking it myself (pre-op) after reading that it can interfere with results of lab tests.

I cut my hair short and plan to keep it that way until I get through the hair loss phase. I figure it will be less noticeable on a short style than in a long style with ponytails, etc. Good luck!
