I had my follow up appointment with my surgeon today, and thought I might be reacting to some foods, since I have had issues with my stomach for the past few days. He told me that the kinds of symptoms I was having aren't typically related to the surgery (tight cramping and needing to run to the restroom a lot), and that I need to let it run it's course. He said to be extra careful about dehydration, though and really work on the fluids. I thought I would mention it here since it is flu season, and we need to be extra vigilant after going through the surgery. This sucks.
Other than finding that out (and realizing how bizarre it was to not even know I had a stomach bug), the appointment went well, and he was happy with my healing and progress so far. I was 15 lbs. down as of the surgery. Hoping that number is real, and not an effect of the virus [emoji53].
