What happens if you overeat?

Recommended Posts

Palms are sweaty, knees weak, arms are heavy. Vomit on my sweater already, mom's spaghetti.... no wait, that's something else.

But #ForRealTho I get uncomfortably full to where I feel like it's right at the base of my throat. My heart pounds, I get sweaty and shaky, and I want to move around to get it to digest faster, but I can't without feeling like I'm going to vomit, so I just need to lay back and rest until the overfull feeling passes. I'm very careful, but it happens occasionally when I'm paying attention to something besides what I'm eating.

I actually am experiencing this at this very moment! This is only the 2nd time since being sleeved 10/17/17. Same feeling though. I feel like food is backing up out of my stomach. My acid reflux acts up pretty bad. Feeling of too much air/bloated feeling. Feel the need to burp for about a half hour. This is only the 2nd time eating ww Pasta, and got it for both. My way to feel better? sit with my recliner leaned back so no pressure on my stomach.

This. Exactly this.

Stuck food feeling in esophagus, slime backing up into throat, then puking - not actual projectile vomiting, more like spitup and slime until enough comes up to relieve the feeling.

When I am full, I mainly get a runny nose. Sometimes hiccups and rarely sneezing.

I cannot tolerate white meat chicken, thighs yes. Pork chops need to be moist. I have not tried Pasta. I just tried 2 bites of rice last night and it wasn't horrid but wasn't something I want to do again soon. Rye toasted is okay when I have an over easy egg.

Yes! Sharp, stabbing pain on my lower left side, just under my ribs. If I eat too fast or too much. You will remember. I never threw up or had foamies. The few times I overate there was nowhere for the food to go so it just sort of sits at the top of your throat or goes back into your mouth when you try to swallow. Just remember, ELMO, Eat Less, More Often. Small portions and eat SLOWLY. :)

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
