Soo.. this one is actually a scale victory. But I want to share it anyway!

My highest ever recorded weight was 282.4 lbs in 2010. I'm now 178.6 lbs as of this morning.. so I've officially lost 100 lbs. I can't believe I ever carried that much weight on this body. Now just 24.6 lbs to goal.

🥳🥳🥳CONGRATULATIONS!!🥳🥳🥳

I actually prefer to walk places these days, rather than driving. Pick up my dry cleaning ... walk, get my hair done .... walk. I haven't talked myself into walking to grocery shop yet. I'll need to buy one of those little old lady push carts! 🤣

Here is an example of why I’m grateful that walking is pleasurable now days vs something to dread!

Now I don’t have to give up my spot and be forced to enter into an epic battle of wills to claim a new one! 😂😂😂

OMG! I would turn that into a mural and have it occupy a whole wall in my home! 😮😮

This is a very non-specific NSV - but I feel FANTASTIC!

All of a sudden, 13 months out, I feel absolutely amazing.

I don't want to scare any newbies, I had issues that you are very unlikely to experience. But, I have felt so-so or downright crappy for so long that I had accepted that as my new normal. But now, I have to set the record straight. Yippee!

Today I cut my toenails and did not have to hold my breath or physically grab my foot and place it over my knee with my hands.

And 3 of the shower curtain hooks had come off the pole, so I hopped up on the side of the bath and put them back on - without holding on to anything for support, and while keeping my balance on the 3 inch bath rim!

NSVs are amazing - my surgery was 5/31/18, I reached my surgeons goal on Sunday. Down 95lbs and ready to maintain. I bought all new pants In January and they are all too big now. I am now a size 8! Never in my life have I been an 8! I was an 18-20 when I had the surgery.

I can feel actual bones under my skin - that’s new.

my goal was to be the weight I was when I was married 15 years ago. I am 25lbs past that. I have never felt this good. The best decision I have ever made for myself

A few says ago, I rounded the corner to see my bus at the stop about 200 feet away. I ran! Actually ran, long strides, solid heel strikes, and caught it! I didn't even feel too winded afterwards. Only later, did I realize how amazing it was.

2 NSV's at my checkup today:

1) my body fat percentage is 31% which puts me in the "acceptable"/"average" range for women. yay!

2) i have a thigh gap (of sorts)! had to take off my clothes and stand with my feet 6-8" apart, and lo and behold light could be seen shining between my legs (ok, that sounded weird).

Had our monthly meeting today and I fit in the student desk with room to spare!! I hated those meetings because the only seats are student desks and I would have to squeeze myself into them and sit uncomfortably through the meeting!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
