post-op sleeve and antibiotics?

Anyone have experience?

I am 3 weeks,2 days out and have an upper respiratory and possibly sinus infection. My allergist called in a z-pack. I called the surgeon on call who I think was just a general surgeon and he said it was okay. Wondering if anyone has taking anti-biotic.

Thanks.

Yes on antibiotics now as I will need a root canal done in a couple of weeks no problems all is well just crush all medicine up I was told or open up capsules!

I’m 10 weeks out and am on an insanely high antibiotic right now. The md attending me at the hospital spoke with my bariatric surgeon and I got the green light. It’s more the steroids/anti inflammatory meds that are a concern. I am on steroids for the swelling in my ear cartilage and being 10 weeks out, my bariatric surgeon approved them along with a regime of RX grade Pepcid. This is to help keep the risk of ulcers down. As long as your bariatric surgeon approves it, it’s all good.

Thanks! I took them last night. It was fine. Pretty small. The mucinex I'm swallowing is much bigger. Thankfully not having trouble with pills.
