I had my consultation on 9/19. I go to my first of three Dr visits on 10/27. I’m shooting for my sleeve in Jan 2018. Any advice?

Hi Tiffany86- we are in the same boat, only a month apart. I went for my first Dr visit last night. Tomorrow I have to make appointments for an endoscopy and psych evaluation. Then go to the gym 3 times a week for 12 weeks. My surgeon is looking at a January 2018 op date for me. I’m so excited!!

Yep; take everything in its stride.

There might be delays (insurance, scheduling, etc), there will be hoops to jump through and most importantly your journey will be yours and yours alone.

Don’t go comparing yourself to others; it’ll only bring you down.

And do your research; I don’t mean just the success stories but there’s a lot to be learned from people who didn’t get what they wanted out of surgery as well.

It's not a quick fix. It's a tool and you will learn to use it for optimal results.

And everything else njgal said.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
