I experienced the same thing. I can't remember exactly why some people experience this, but I wanna say it has to do with the gas they use to inflate the abdomen during surgery. Is it almost like you pulled a muscle in your shoulder area?

At any rate, always a good idea to bring it up with the surgeon.

I experienced the pain on my chest and not my shoulder, they did tell me it’s Bc of the Gas that was used for the surgery but the Gas went away little by little after drinking Gas X. That helped me out a lot! It took me about a week in a half to have the pain away. I had hard time farting it out but I would burp it out. Try Gas X.

I experienced this about 2 -3 weeks out as well. I’m also experiencing it almost a year later since I had surgery 11/16/16. My surgeon had no answers, my primary doctor felt that maybe someone mismanaged my body during surgery maybe over extending my arms or neck so it strained a muscle. To this day I don’t know what’s wrong, but all I’ve been told is to go to physical therapy.
