MissT_SR I am so very sorry for your loss and your changes. I have friends out your way that have now been misplaced due to the fires and it is a heartbreaking life change. I know right now it doesn't look or feel like there is an end in sight, but there will be. And, you will find a place ........a new area to "call yours".

I missed this message! Thank you for the kind words- my son and I and the cats are fine. This fire has changed us all but it’s amazing the power of love for ones community and one another that’s pulled us all together!!!

Surgery has been rescheduled for Halloween 5:30am back doing the pre-op liquids and craving uh....EVERYTHING! (I binged over the week I was evacuated)

I hope you’re doing well FibroQueen

Hi all,

Surgery on 10/17 went well, no complications. Stayed in the hospital overnight. Only pain I had was the gas that was stuck in my ribcage/chest area which subsided by day 4. I lost 15 lbs since surgery and have hit a stall. I haven't lost any more weight for the last 10 days. I know everyone hits a stall between week 2-4 post op, but it's so frustrating. How's everyone else doing?

Dont let stall get int your head...try getting your Protein in the morning, and stay active..

you will pass this stage and back to drop those pounds... personally I think went throught that at my 7th month post op... now Slowing down in weight loss approx 2 lbs per week (with 4 to 5 x workouts per week)...

I guess it all depends on whats your BMi, peps

with higher BMI will loose higher number of pounds per week.

.keep going and dont give up, dont let scale trick you...

Thank you for the encouragement. I upped my Protein to an extra Protein Shake at night. Let's see if that helps.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
