Counting weight loss from pre-op vs. Post-op

I would say the two week pre op is definitely part of your journey! I intend to count every single pound lost!! We earn those!

Indeed.

My method acknowledges every key part of my weight loss/gain history but still focuses on the IMPORTANT thing of the progress in the PRESENT.

I count my highest weight, when I had the first consult with surgeon and I was trying to lose weight.

I count the weight on the day I had my first visit with my surgeon. I had previously been larger but for this journey, that's where I start. I also take credit for the weight lost pre op because I did it and it counts for this year and journey.
I started in Jan 2017. Surgery was July 2017. It's all my fat, and it's all going down!!!![emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

I count from when I started the pre-op diet, which was 10 days prior to surgery.
That's what made sense to me given that's when there was an immediate and significant change in the management of my diet.

For me, mentally, emotionally and physically the start of the pre-op diet is when this journey began.

You can say that again. Preop emotionally broke me down! I take credit for that time.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
