Hehehe well try to get some rest before it, but I’ll be up if you want a chat buddy when you go in. It’s only 5pm here :) it’s good being the first one I think, your surgeon will start the day with you, and then you can recover all day. So excited for you!!!

Mine is at 7:30, I’m the first of the day. I can’t sleep though. I think I’m too nervous. I’m really, really excited. But also super nervous about being put under and having a complication or even of having the surgery cancelled (but mainly the other part). So many thoughts and emotions! emoji51.pngemoji51.pngemoji854.pngemoji854.png

Omg I pictured myself in your spot for a sec and now I’m nervous too!!

YOU GOT THIS!!! Everything is going to go as planned and if you have someone taking you to the hospital in the morning don’t worry about the lack of sleep since you’ll be resting all day tomorrow .. you just make sure you’ve got everything you need ready and focus on what will calm your nerves.

Good luck and again, YOU GOT THIS!!!!!

Hi everyone out there...sleeve buddies...

I am here trying to get some last minute info that I may have missed. Tomorrow I start clear diet and the Clearfast my

Dr. recommended for a quicker recovery. In going in on the 5th at 7:30! After 6 months of running around meeting

insurance requirements, finally it's really time. Yes, excited and also afraid of the unknown; I always say we don't know

what we don't know. I am putting myself in Gods & Dr. hands. and I will be alright.

Wishing you all success and a healthy future!

Every doctor has their own protocol for pre-surgery. My surgery is the 5th - tomorrow. I had my own anxiety a few days ago but I know God has this. I think we wonder if we will ever get there cause it's been such a long journey for most of us like a rollcoaster trying to lose weight. I'm so read to get off all these meds and go for a hike and maybe even go camping again!!
Go join the Buddies Group for December under buddies and mentors. I think there's about 8 of us in there and we can all support each other. The ONE main thing that I never got with lap band surgery, I'm determined to be successful.

December 19th in Edinburg, TX. I'm so excited! 2 week liquid diet starts on Dec 5th.
My first appt was in August. So far no delays except cardiologist wants a lexiscan instead of EKG, that's this Tuesday. So hoping doe no delays. Deductible is pretty much met. I have 2 insurances Aetna and united healthcare. United only requires 4 visits vs Aetna 6 months.
Congrats to all December sleevers!!!
Question: anyone on the liquid diet yet? Tell me about it. What are you drinking???

December 19th! Just the phone to schedule today!

So I read through the entire 27 pages of this thread and found everyone scheduled for 12/19/2017. Are any of you going to Bariatricpal in Tijuana with Dr Illan? I'm trying to find people who will be there the same day as me.

I'm on my liquid pre-op diet now and I am SO hungry. I just keep reminding myself this is WORTH it!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
