My 6 month surgiversary is tomorrow!! Here are a couple pics... I'm down 64 lbs since surgery.

I have been drinking water, unjury chicken broth, and I even tried a little jello. I think I'll need to wait a couple more days for the jello though. I never threw up or had the dry heaves but I could tell my stomach was angry at that one Sent from my XT1650 using BariatricPal mobile app

My surgery went really well yesterday. I made sure I walked a lot to get the gas moving out. I'm home recovering. The hardest part for me is getting enough water although the gas pains are rough sometimes too. Sent from my XT1650 using BariatricPal mobile app

I'm this afternoon!! I'm 100% ready to get this done right now, but I will probably start to panic when they put the IV in. I hope yours goes well and I will see you on the other side!

I have surgery at 1. I think my stomach might eat itself by then but I am so ready for this. I hope yours goes really well today and I will see you on the other side

Aran1030, I'm taking from my surgery date Dec 11th until Jan 2nd off... but that's only because I was already planning to take the week of Christmas off anyways. I know I will likely not need all that time since I just work a desk job, but... I WANT IT!! I'll take any break from work I can get. saltykisses, I've been so excited that for the last month I have been buying the best clothes from goodwill in all sizes down to 10. I'm afraid to go any lower than that.

I hope our first few December sleevers' surgeries have gone well. I'm one week out and starting to get anxious. I'm ready to get this done!!!!

I'm scheduled for December 11th. I don't have a pre-op liquid diet leading up to it but I'm definitely a worrier so I will be doing a gentle diet starting tomorrow. Protein shakes, chicken and rice, some veggies... Hopefully that'll keep my digestive track going smoothly until Monday. Sent from my XT1650 using BariatricPal mobile app

Monday December 11th... I'm ready for it now though! I think the anticipation might kill me this next week.

I do not have to follow a liquid diet or do any elimination drink prior to surgery. The other surgeon in the practice requires a laxative before but my surgeon does not think it is necessary and adds no benefit. The only requirement i have to follow is only clear liquids after 2pm the day before and no liquids at all after midnight. The office does recommend Miralax after surgery to ease constipation after anesthesia if necessary, so I'll have it on hand. Hope that eases your mind a bit
