4 oz lite yogurt today

Recommended Posts

I'm 2 1/2 weeks post op. I've been eating 2oz puréed food at a sitting. Today for Breakfast I was able to eat 4oz lite dannon yogurt until full. Does this make since. Later on I was back to 2oz refried Beans and was full with that.

Thanks in advance for your support!

Yogurt is basically a liquid if it isn't a greek yogurt. You really shouldn't be eating until full. That is a bad habit to start. Measure your portions and only eat that amount.

Don't stress. Most doctors and books say to stop eating "when you feel full." So, yes, you're OK to do that. I'm 2 1/2 weeks out also, I'm doing great, and my Dr is thrilled with my results & regimen. Keep taking it easy. Don't go over 2-4 tablespoons or ounces yet, but likely you won't be physically able to anyway. The trick is to not eat anything "as soon as you feel full." Not another bite. Even if we feel great on the outside, the actual stomach is still swollen. My Dr said it's only open about the size of a finger right now, but after a couple months post-op it becomes more like the size of a banana.
Hang in there, you're doing fine!

food addicts never feel full though, or they feel full past the comfort level.

Most Drs don't say eat until you are full, by the time you feel "full" with a sleeve, you have over ate.

They say to eat your measured portions.

Yes, well, everyone is different and one person's measurements might not be good for another, therefore, you have to listen to your body and learn what your stomach feels like when it's getting full. To each their own, in moderation....

I can eat a single serving size greek yogurt (one carton) . It wasn't like this day 1, but I could do it about week 3. But I can not even eat 2oz of meat. It feels like lead!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
