I was just released after getting my sleeve put in yesterday at 10am. I'm sore but it's manageable. I wanna let everybody in on something. Everything is great until u wake up from anaesthesia. Upon waking up I don't care who you are it's shocking. I felt like I got ran over by a mack truck. The pain is bad and u really can't move for 5-6 hours with IV's and monitors hooked up too you. But don't worry it only goes up from there. My temperature was high until this morning so my doctor decided to release me. I'm now at home and resting which is way better than being stuck in the hospital confined. My abdominal region is very sore. From what I heard and read every day improves drastically. Just be prepared for the day of surgery that is by far theeee worst day. It's only up from here. Just remember this is a major surgery on a major organ so healing is done from the inside out. Good luck to everybody and I'm looking forward to seeing how everybody's surgery went.

My surgery is next Wednesday, but I already hit my first milestone today. I started my journey at 333lbs. My doctor doesn’t require a pre-op diet so any real change in diet leading up to surgery is mostly on me. I made the decision to not wait until surgery to change my diet though because I didn’t want that drastic change from eating big portions to next to nothing. I figured I’d have a better chance of success having sort of trained by brain and body before hand. Well I had my last pre-op weigh in this morning at my doctor and I weighed in at 299lbs. Seeing my weight start with a 2 instead of a 3 was a huge boost mentally, and makes me look forward to getting this journey started all that much more.

Have your sf popsicles and sf Jello ready. I did the Premier Protien drinks because 8 know myself and if I had to prep, I would have failed. I am not sure if you get one meal a day, but I had that prepped too. God luck! Today is my last day on the diet before surgery tomorrow!

I’m currently on day 10 of the liquid diet. I could that the Protein Powder keeps me full longer than the pre-made Protein Drinks. I may do the powder in the morning and evening, which 2 pre-made shakes, chicken broth, jello and popsicles in between. Also, Water throughout the day

Yes. Surgery was this past Thursday and it was rough that day and over night. But I'm good now.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
